Marian Medal

Marian Medal...

About The Emblem:

The program is action oriented with a strong emphasis on reflective action. The program is designed to be done within a peer group under the guidance of a program counselor.

The counselor plays a very important role with duties that may include coordinating the projects, leading discussions, and acting as a resource person.

Eligibility:

Registered Cadette (or Senior) Girl Scout of Catholic Faith. The Girl Scout must be between 12-15 years old.

The Marian Medal Project Book (Mary, the First Disciple Book) is designed for Girl Scout ages 12-15.

Like the other medals programs for Girl Scouts it is intended to complement the work of formal religious education, not take the place of this formal training.

Requirements:

Each Cadette (or Senior) Girl Scout must have her own Activity Book.

This book can be purchased at your local Girl Scout Shop

Program Completion:

Upon completion of the program the application form is signed by the applicant, the adult moderator and by the priest moderator for the group. The parent/guardian will need to send the application at the back of the book to the diocesan committee for final approval.

A copy of the application can be found here:  GSA RECOGNITION APPLICATION

Please complete the application and mail it by 31 December to ...
